Hi, I’m Daniel. I was born on the island of Sumatra, Indonesia, in the 1980s. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering and a Master of Business Administration (MBA).
Welcome to danieel.id/ — Daniel’s Insights. I created this website as a space to share my notes, knowledge, experiences, and reflections.
First and foremost, these writings serve as reminders to myself. Along the way, I hope that what I share will also be useful to others.
Writing to Benefit Others
One message that serves as a reminder to me is a saying of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ:
“The best of people are those who are most beneficial to others.”
Narrated by Ath-Thabrani and Ad-Daraquthni.
This message reminds me that knowledge and experience become more meaningful when they benefit others. Through this website, I want to share what I learn, in the hope that anyone who reads it will find something useful.
Writing as a Lasting Legacy
For me, writing is more than a hobby. It is also one of the best ways to leave a record of thoughts and experiences that others can revisit, learn from, and pass on.
“Writing is the best way to build your legacy.”
A piece of writing might begin with a simple question, an everyday experience, or something interesting I come across. By putting it into words, I can preserve the lesson while sharing it with others.
